Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses were designed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts.  Through scientific research and clinical studies it was found that people responded positively and depression and anxiety was alleviated.  It is since then that MBSR has been used in hospital and school settings and in many corporate settings.

MBSR courses are intensive and thorough.  Courses are run over 8 weeks and each class is approximately 2.5 hours long.  It also includes a full day of mindfulness and all course materials. Mindfulness tools are taught such as mindful meditation, body scan, yoga and mindful dialogue.

Small groups of 5 to 12 maximum and all courses are supervised in accordance with good practice guidelines.
