Having always had a strong interest in holistic health, I trained as a yoga teacher in 2002 with the YTTC directed then under Marie Quail. My passion for yoga has helped me to manage the many challenges and stresses that life can bring. However, I found I never quite successfully integrated yoga into my everyday way of living.
Mindfulness has been that ingredient to compliment my yoga practice and the way I want to live. My meditation practice is forever evolving and teaching me. Sometimes I can take a step back but I have my practice to guide me to where I should be and that is a place that is nurturing and healing. Daily meditation has become a bedrock for they way I live. I can tap into a mindful practice while sipping a coffee or looking at the garden or listening to my children and that has become one of the gifts of mindfulness for me. That simple tool is an exit from the "driven mode" Being driven is also important but giving our nervous systems a break is what can bring us back into balance.
My wish is to share these skills and to help us all to come back to a place of harmony and as you will see repeated throughout any book on mindfulness...to be fully alive and present!
