What is mindfulness?
"Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way ... on purpose in the present moment and without judgement" ~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
During the 8 week MBSR course we learn to cultivate a sense of curiosity, kindness and basic friendliness to whatever we experience. The practice of mindfulness is an invitation to get to know ourselves better and to notice our reactive habits of heart and mind.

Mindfulness can support us in responding to the events in our lives in an authentic way. The program promotes self awareness, personal development and general wellbeing.

In the program we explore "stress" and how it manifests in our lives. We cannot avoid stressful experiences, as they are part of life. How we interpret and react to stressful events can often make our experience of difficulty potentially worse.
A mindful approach can help us to, not only tolerate discomfort with more ease, but to embrace a full life and even flourish.
